The National Gallery, London is a world-renowned center of art, with a collection spanning from the 13th century to the early 20th century, featuring masterpieces by countless Western art legends such as J.M.W. Turner, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet.

Titled “When Raden Meets Art – A Shared Art Journey”, this collaboration brings the world of VTubers together with three world-renowned paintings personally selected by Juufuutei Raden from the collection of The National Gallery, London. The series draws inspiration from Joseph Mallord William Turner’s “Rain, Steam, and Speed – The Great Western Railway”, Vincent van Gogh’s “Sunflowers”, and Claude Monet’s “The Water-Lily Pond”, blending the iconic imagery of these masterpieces with the VTuber’s unique persona to create an exclusive cross-industry collaboration.

This collaboration features a diverse range of products, including fragrance mist set, designer scarves, cup & saucer set, rollerball pen, tote bags, canvas art, acrylic stands, and random clear cards. By seamlessly combining the timeless essence of world-renowned masterpieces with the contemporary appeal of VTubers, the series presents a fresh and boundary-breaking collaboration that transcends both eras and dimensions.

 

Collaboration Overview

The Gallery aims to make art accessible from diverse perspectives, and its permanent exhibitions in London remain free to the public to this day. Committed to the spirit of sharing art, the Gallery has also held multiple touring exhibitions across Asia in recent years, with stops in Japan and Taiwan, demonstrating its international cultural influence.

This collaboration is the first between The National Gallery, London and Juufuutei Raden, who is a certified curator in Japan and has extensive experience collaborating with museums. Through her professional and unique perspective on art, the project aims to spark a fresh and engaging dialogue with these iconic masterpieces.

Since her debut, Juufuutei Raden has frequently shared her passion for classical art during livestreams, offering unique and nuanced insights into various masterpieces. Her enthusiasm for the arts has led to collaborations with multiple museums, including the Hakone Ventian Glass Museum in Japan and the Tainan Art Museum in Taiwan, as well as providing tangible support for crowdfunding initiatives for artwork restoration at the Tokyo National Museum. Through her actions, she continues to demonstrate a deep love for art and inspire her audience to explore and appreciate the world of culture and creativity.

In addition to the exclusive collaboration products, Juufuutei Raden has carefully selected 20 masterpieces from The National Gallery, London and created a specially recorded audio guide. Further, after receiving exclusive authorization from the gallery, the entire hololive DEV_IS ReGLOSS team was allowed to visit the gallery for a one-of-a-kind in-person experience. This audio guide and footage from ReGLOSS’s visit will be available exclusively on Juufuutei Raden’s YouTube channel, sharing this unique and invaluable art experience with fans around the world.

Upcoming Pop-Up Store Information

In conjunction with this collaboration, a pop-up exhibition will be held in Taipei starting in mid-June, followed by a pop-up store in Tokyo beginning in October. Further details will be announced at a later date.
